Wit this rule, they try to protect customers in the event of the failure of a FSA regulated company. How are this rule could protected the customers? If FSA regulated company fails to make financial obligations, a liquidator would not able to use client’s money to make claim of general creditors of the failed company. Client’s fund can only be used to pay out compensation to clients who held deposits with that company. Could you feel safety with this regulation?

Rivals Respond to Wave of Exchange Offers

Exchanges omitted from the bustle of the acquisitions announced this week said they are considering striking their own deals or looking to take advantage of the distractions, the early signs of wrinkles through the capital markets in the world. Any exchange which was not involved in the two mergers – the four who were not involved – at lunchtime on Wednesday was wondering, “Should I be involved in some way?” and call their bankers and strategic thinking,

“It must be a shock I think for all operators in this industry, one of the mergers would be the world’s largest exchange company Deutsche Boerse, NYSE Euronext to create, and may put pressure on others keep pace as companies shift to more profitable businesses derivatives to stave off competition from upstart stock-trading platforms. The sites, which are owned and used by many large European trading companies were planning a deal strike on February 11 according to people familiar with matter, but the companies said on Friday talks are still ongoing.

The merger makes the Chi-X BATS much more important, said Richard Semark, managing director of European client trading at UBS. our greatest strategic requirement is that competition is sustainable in Europe and that the market moves towards pan-European platform than national. To this end, a deal between bats and Chi-X should have long-term viability to safeguard competition.

Taiwan Stocks May Test Support At 9,000

The Taiwan Stock Exchange ended just above the 9,000-point plateau, and now traders hope the market can line when it opens on Thursday to keep. The global forecast for the Asian market is flat with a hint of weakness, with the caution expected to prevail in the absence of a new impetus. Steel stocks are likely to see some softness, like gold, oil and gas companies. The European markets ended lower and U.S. stock exchanges mixed, but ended little changed – and Asian markets are forecast to split the difference.

For days, the index fell 104.64 points, or 1.14 percent to finish at 9,006.82 after trading between 8,992.64 and 9,129.88 on turnover of 145.30 one billion Taiwan dollars. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. shed 2.25 percent and United Microelectronics Corp. fell 3.41 percent.

Wall Street offers little clarity on the stocks closed mostly lower on Wednesday, with resource stocks leading the way, still less as the dollar weakened on the day, traditionally a driver of a higher demand for commodities.Early on the day, Bernanke testified before the House budget committee, said that the economic recovery appears to have strengthened over the past few months, but he said that unemployment remains too high to consider the recovery set.

State seeks Rs3,000 cr advance from Centre

With mounting bills and empty treasury, the central government seeking the Centre for Rs 3,000 crore cash advance its share of central taxes during the next financial year. But it is learned that the Union Ministry of Finance had a few questions in this regard. However, the finance department hopes to at least get RS 2000 crore.

But so far there is no positive indication of the Centre and in the meantime Jalayagnam accounts, etc. continue to increase reimbursement fees. The contractors Jalayagnam program was recently made clear to the government that they will not go to work unless their rights have been deleted. The state government had not released any money for irrigation projects in January and instead diverted over Rs 1,200 crore for Rachchabanda program.

While Rs 15,000 crore was allocated in the budget for Jalayagnam only about Rs 6000 crore has already been released. To this end the cash-strapped state government has now decided to take another proposal to the Centre seeking a release of at least Rs 1000 crore immediately to the irrigation-mer clear to send. The government has also asked the Treasury to free up any money, except for the purpose of wages until March 31.
